Well, today I start writing my very first blog. I knew what blogs were, but honestly -- couldn't care any less about them. Why on earth would others care what I have to say? Then I realized...it's about me getting my crazy, ADD thoughts out there and out of my head so I can move on to something else.
A little about me: I'm 28, married, mom to one, have ADD and a learning disability. I love animals and trying to just enjoy the calm moments in life. Those moments where you think to yourself "I'm going to look back at this some day..." and try to internalize the moment so you can revisit it whenever you want.

The Ontario provincial election was held yesterday. I voted. In my county 45% of those aged 18+ did not vote. I don't get it. No lines, no waiting, walked in put an X and walked out. Vote for whoever you want, just vote. If there was any way possible, I think the government should give every voter $10 back on their taxes if they voted. I know it would be a financial nightmare to figure out how to track the system and the man hours involved but I truly believe more people would vote. Hey, you could even think of it as job creation!

About a month ago, in my small town of 8000 we had a devastating tornado rip through. Many people were out of employment temporarily, but now many of those stores & businesses have decided not to re-open. Others, who were not impacted at all have decided to take this time to close up shop. Every place in the world is searching for jobs, yet we as consumers dictate how and where those jobs are going to be. Show your country that you care, purchase domestic products, things that were made from here!

I truly wish that I had packed an extra pair of clothing after admitting out loud that I had been lucky and had never been pooped on by my 6 month old daughter. Too late..
